Bio: I, Sophia Alexander, am the mother of two college-age children and a number of manuscripts. My character-driven historical fiction and fantasy grip readers' emotions and surprise them with unexpected twists. My family resides on the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia, where my husband was born. We studied at the College of Charleston in the even-more-beautiful city where I was born, then at Bastyr University in the Pacific Northwest, where our children were born. My time is now divided between Savannah and my grandparents’ old home in rural South Carolina, near my folks. There, many hours are spent in a spacious writing study that used to be the parlor I was once forbidden from entering. I sometimes wonder what my grandparents would think of this, and if I’m actually being ornery... The Silk Trilogy is my award-winning debut work, aside from some short stories in local anthologies.
