The administrators on the groups are HNS members in good standing, but you do not need to be an HNS member to join most groups. Some groups are private and limited to HNS members. Please read group rules and adhere to them. When surveying our membership, the overwhelming response was that they do NOT want to be overloaded by self-promotion.

HNS CHAPTER FACEBOOK GROUPS
The Historical Novel Society is a large, international organization with membership spread across the globe. To foster connection, the Society has a number of Local Chapters, to provide opportunities for member meetups and programming in particular geographic areas. These Chapters are organized, led, and run by HNS members in that area.

Subgenre Chapter Facebook Groups
In addition to geographically-focused Local Chapters, the Society also has Subgenre Chapters. These Chapters are based not upon members in a particular location, but rather those interested in a specific subgenre of historical fiction (e.g., Romance, Medieval Fiction, etc.).
