David Braybrook
Bio: I’m David Braybrook, author of Straight Lines and Brown Brogues, published in April 2026, a historical fiction novel set against the backdrop of pre-First World War conflict. The novel follows Joseph, a young map maker from the south of England, whose life is shaped by his experiences of conflict in a far away land and the bonds he forms in the most unlikely of places. Written in the style of timeless fable, it’s quiet, deeply human story about ordinary people navigating extraordinary times. In 2023 I published The Collectors - He wanted to be an Artist, a journey into the genre of metaphysical speculative fiction. Following a group of 'Collectors' from an alternative and parallel existence, it explores the echoing consequences of evil against humanity in our recent times. I live in Southern France.
