Bio: My historical novel, UNSPOKEN, released July 2025, is an HNS Editors' Choice. My habit of examining the details has informed my lifelong zeal for storytelling. After ten years of researching the Texas Dust Bowl and beyond, I found many stories to tell, featuring characters who face down their fears, in The Dust Series. As a photographer, designer, painter and creative professional with a passion for writing, I find my focus in seeing, exploring and recording life’s details—like imagining the lives of others in the novels I’m writing; or shooting the scenic gumbo that is my Vanishing Austin photography series. Delving into the creative process and recording my travels back in time never fail to incite my imagination. And I always brake for historical markers.
