Diamond Hunter

In 1871, Jack Lark and Anna Baker continue their travels with a sojourn in the diamond fields of South Africa. Drawing on the tensions between the Boers and the English, the author spins a tale of despair, triumph, and disaster amongst the dry diamond workings of the du Toit pan. A motley cast of characters is assembled as the adventure takes shape, and the story weaves them around Jack and Anna seeking their fortune, adding depth to the narrative. The story has plenty of unexpected twists and turns, and of course leaves Jack and Anna ready for their next adventure. As a newcomer to the Jack Lark series, it took me a while to get a feel for Jack and Anna’s back story; however, after reading this book I am looking forward to the next instalment.
