Like Donna Jo Napoli’s Bound (reviewed above), this novel is not your typical Cinderella story, but they both are intriguing examples of how our beloved fairy tale can be interpreted by skillful authors. And they make great additions to a collection of Cinderella tales. (Ages 9-12)
