Dessa Caldwell has a promise to keep. Before her death, Sophie Pierson, Dessa’s close friend and mentor, dreamed of opening Pierson House, a refuge for prostitutes, in Denver’s infamous Fourth Ward. Now that Sophie is gone, it is up to Dessa to fulfill her dearest friend’s mission. Henry Hawkins has a secret to hide. Twelve years ago, Henry—now a successful banker—robbed three Wells Fargo stagecoaches and used the money to fund his business ventures. When Dessa seeks a loan from Henry’s bank, pasts collide. Can Dessa break down the walls Henry has built around his heart? How will Henry react when he discovers that Dessa’s been hiding a secret of her own?

All in Good Time, set in 1887, is a beautiful piece of historical fiction with a compelling plot and fascinating characters. Though the mystery surrounding Henry’s past is very interesting, the development of his character is by far the best part of the novel. As the story progresses, Henry transforms from reckless youth to guarded businessman to ordinary human being. An interesting and heartwarming read, All in Good Time is sure to thrill fans of Christian historical fiction everywhere.
