Once Upon a Pillow

This romance is a compilation of four episodes in the life of a bed in an English manor house on the border of Cornwall and Devon. In the first, set approximately 1200, we learn why this massive, memorable bed was built. The other historical episodes take place around 1583 and 1815, while the last one, which is an offshoot of the framing story, takes place in the present. The two earliest stories have some historical content and are quite enjoyable, but the 1815 situation could have been set anytime and anyplace. A light read by two well-known romance writers.
