An Uncommon Courtship

1796: Lord Trent Hawthorne and Lady Adelaide Bell are thrown together by fate, and the honorable Trent feels he must propose. His lifelong dream had been to court and fall in love with the woman he would marry. Now that dream is thwarted; Trent is irrevocably married to a woman he barely knows, let alone loves. After a few awkward days he resolves to court his wife, and see if love between the two of them can grow and blossom.

This is a charming romance. Trent is an engaging hero and his wife, Adelaide, remains lovely despite her continual dishevelment. I rooted for the characters as they struggled to find true happiness in their forced marriage. This diverting book made me curious about the other novels in the series which feature Trent’s lively and unusual family. Lovers of inspirational and sweet romances should enjoy this one.
