Bio: Teaching high-school history, music, sailing, and karate in the Caribbean for thirty-three years, I have practiced storytelling to the toughest audience on the planet. Sailing through hurricanes and diving shipwrecks all over the Caribbean, also eight years of research in the archives of Europe, have uniquely qualified me to tell many stories. My self-published history of the Caribbean from 1493-1750, THE EIGHTH FLAG, has sold just under 10,000 copies so far at Amazon, local bookstores, Barnes and Noble, and Walmart. A licensed boat captain and avid sailboat racer, I was featured in the Summer 2022 edition of SAILING WORLD, the most respected magazine in the sport. I am also an Advanced Open-Water Diver featured in an episode of PIRATES TREASURE GOLD with Phillip Cousteau.
