Bio: Sophie Perinot is the author of five novels. Solo novels include: "The Sister Queens" (NAL/Penguin 2012), weaving the story of medieval sisters from Provence who became queens of France and England; "Médicis Daughter," (2015/Thomas Dunne) spinning the tale of 16th century Marguerite de Valois, torn between the demands of her mother, Catherine de Medicis, and her own conscience; and “And by Fire,” (Crooked Lane / 2022) a dual-timeline mystery written as Evie Hawtrey taking readers inside the terrifying Great Fire of London in 1666. Collaborative novels include: "A Day of Fire" and “Ribbons of Scarlet.” “A Day of Fire” (2023 / William Morrow) tells the story of Pompeii's last days through the eyes of a wide cast of characters and the voices of six well-known historical authors. Television rights for “A Day of Fire” were optioned by Amazon / MGM UK (2024) “Ribbons of Scarlet”—also a six author collaboration—tells the story of the French Revolution through the eyes of its women.
