Bio: Sarah Birnbach began her encore career as a writer after successful careers as a human resources management consultant and family therapist in a juvenile court. She was a sought-after motivational speaker at numerous industry conferences and has delivered more than 500 presentations and workshops. Sarah's lifelong journaling practice informed her debut memoir, A Daughter's Kaddish: My Year of Grief, Devotion, and Healing. She is a five-time award winner from the Soul-Making Keats Literary Competition, a program of the National League of American Pen Women. Her articles have appeared in numerous journals and newspapers. She holds a bachelor's degree, a master's in business, and a master's in social work. She is currently at work on a historical fiction story of her father's experience as a frontline soldier in WWII. Sarah lives with her husband outside Washington, DC where she enjoys frequenting local bookstores, traveling, and active grandparenting.
