Bio: Patricia Bernstein grew up in Dallas. After earning a Degree of Distinction in American Studies from Smith College, she founded her public relations agency in Houston. She is the author of three nonfiction books including "Ten Dollars to Hate: The Texas Man Who Fought the Klan," which The Austin American Statesman named to a list of 53 of the best books ever written about Texas. The book was also one of three finalists for the Ramirez Family Award given by the Texas Institute of Letters. Patricia lives in Houston with her husband, Alan Bernstein, where she pursues her other great artistic love, singing with Opera in the Heights and other organizations. "A Noble Cunning: The Countess and the Tower," published in March 2023 by History Through Fiction, is her debut novel. It is based on the true story of a persecuted Catholic noblewoman who rescued her husband from the Tower of London the night before his scheduled execution with the help of her devoted women friends.
