Bio: Born and educated in the UK, Matthew Gibson is currently Associate Professor of English Literature at the University of Macau. A leading scholar on Bram Stoker and the Gothic – and curator of Stoker resources for Oxford Bibliographies – Matthew has published extensively in academia, including the literary critical works Dracula and the Eastern Question, and The Fantastic and European Gothic, in which he explored expanding definitions of historical fiction – notably, nineteenth century vampire novels. Mr Stoker and the vampires of the Lyceum (The Book Guild, 2023) is his first work of fiction.
