Bio: Maryka Biaggio is an award-winning author who specializes in historical fiction based on true stories. Her debut novel, PARLOR GAMES (Doubleday, 2013) tells the story of a small-town girl turned world-class con artist. EDEN WAITS (Milford House Press, 2019) recounts the story of Hiawatha Colony, a utopian community founded in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the 1890s. THE  POINT OF VANISHING, published in 2021 (Milford House Press), is based on the true story of child prodigy writer Barbara Follett, who mysteriously disappeared in 1939. THE MODEL SPY (Milford House Press, 2022) tells the true story of Toto Koopman, who spied for the Allies and Italian Resistance during World War II. She has served on the board of the Historical Novel Society North America Conference since 2015.
