Bio: Loretta Goldberg, MA; CLU; Fulbright Scholar. UNDER CONTRACT! MADEGLOBAL PUBLISHING, 2018 My debut novel,The Reversible Mask, is about a sixteenth century double agent. It draws loosely on the exploits of a spy whose travels ranged from England to Constantinople. At different times he served Elizabeth I, Mary, Queen of Scots, Philip II and Francesca I, Grand Duke of Tuscany. My fictional character uses his genius for ferreting out secrets to shape events at the highest level. He is smooth enough to charm Ottoman officials yet earthy enough to suborn deck hands. In a world riven by religious fundamentalism he is a moderate at heart, striving to balance faith and patriotism; love and betrayal; acting in shadow while yearning for fame. I have been a professional pianist with a discography of nine commercial recordings. Earlier, I built up an insurance and investment financial services practice which I recently sold to focus on writing.
