Bio: I am a Toronto-based writer, editor, and historian. I run the website, A Curiosity of Crime; a research resource for authors of historical fiction (1800-1940). The site, and my research, include forensics, policing, poisoning, and investigative techniques. I published, A Writer’s Guide to Nineteenth-Century Murder by Arsenic in 2022. Written for authors, it contains everything from where Victorians got the poison through evidence and into the courtroom. The second in the series, a Guide to Poison, is due for publication in early 2024. If you have questions about forensics or laying an evidence trail for your sleuth, drop me a line at info@acuriosityofcrime.com.
