Bio: Jacquie Rogers has been writing fiction in various genres since 2014, and has had short stories published in anthologies and zines on both sides of the Atlantic. She has twice been Runner Up in the Lincoln Book Festival short story award. Her first historical mystery novel, The Governor’s Man, set in third century AD Roman Britain, was published in May 2021. The second novel, The Carnelian Phoenix, took her heroes Quintus Valerius and his British sidekick Tiro across the western empire to Rome, published in July 2022. The third of the series, The Loyal Centurion, is set in York and Scotland, and appeared in summer 2023. Linked short stories appeared in Imperium in November 2021, and Triumphs and Tragedies in March 2023. She blogs at https://jacquierogers.substack.com, and posts on Facebook and Instagram. Jacquie Rogers lives in the beautiful Malvern Hills in an erratic cottage, with her husband and dog.
