Bio: An ethnographer, educator, and award-winning author who loves mentoring writers, Joan blends her love of history and romance into historical novels about women who shouldn’t be forgotten, beginning with her debut biographical historical novel That Dickinson Girl, book one in her Forgotten Women series. Book two, Censored Angel, the story of Ida C. Craddock’s battle with Anthony Comstock, was recently published. She is also the author of the top-selling Write for Success series. That Dickinson Girl was named best Historical Novel of the Year by the Coffee Pot Book Club and shortlisted for the Chanticleer Laramie award. Censored Angel shortlisted for the Laramie Goethe Award and was named best Historical Novel of the year by Book Fest.
