Bio: BEDTRICK, the third book about Alexander Cooke, a stage actor in Shakespeare's London, was released in November, 2021, by Cuidono Press. Though THE SECRET PLAYER, 2012, and DARK VENUS, 2014, preceded it, BEDTRICK stands alone. Cooke's well-kept secret is her gender: she was born female. Formerly a boy actor, she's now a hired man who continues to play female roles with Shakespeare's company. Along with theatrical and political events from the tumultuous late days of Queen Elizabeth's rule and accession of James I to the throne, the plot of BEDTRICK focuses on Sander's marriage to her seamstress friend Frances, impregnated by Sander's brother who refuses to marry her.
