Bio:
I spent 46 spectacular years in Alaska before moving to Washington State's beautiful Olympic Peninsula. During those years, I earned a graduate degree in English as well as degrees in history and education. While teaching writing courses at the University of Alaska, I modeled class assignments by writing along with the students.
A variety of stories and essays have been published in U.S, Canadian, and Scottish anthologies. My first historical novel, The Rantin' Laddie, is based on an old Scottish ballad and it's now looking for an appropriate agent. I'm currently working on a second novel, Bless the Good Morrow, a 17th-century mystery set in London and loosely centered around The Good Morrow tavern.
Other than writing, my time is taken up with reading, cooking, boating, creaky-knees hiking, and volunteering as a Clallam County Master Gardener.
