Bio: Erv's first book is Subterfuge, a novel about a missing U-boat and the captain's son's search to find his father, which highlights Erv's interest in World War II. He has completed one family saga set in rural Kentucky and is working on a second. When it is finished, he plans to work on another historical fiction which he recently began to research. Erv lives in Louisville, Kentucky, in central United States with his wife Linda, to whom Subterfuge is dedicated, their two dogs, and a cat. They have a son and daughter, plus three grandchildren that live in the Louisville area, and a son who lives in Paris. A fourth grandchild is stationed in Texas with the Army. When not writing, Erv enjoys woodworking. In addition to the HNS, he is a member of the American Writers and Artists Institute and the Professional Writers Alliance. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisville Literary Arts.
