Bio: The first book I ever read completely on my own (under the covers with a flashlight since it was after my bedtime) was a child's historical novel. I have never lost that interest in them. My obsession has become the Byzantine Empire. I've written four books about them: Tales of Byzantium - short stories about the Byzantines Imperial Passions - The Porta Aurea - Begins the story of the life of Anna Dalassena, a young woman from a distinguished Byzantine military family, whose marriage to John Comnenus establishes what will become a great dynasty. Byzantine History in the 11th Century - A Brief Introduction Imperial Passions - The Great Palace - Anna Dalassena's life from 1057-1081 when her son, Alexios I Comnenus, seizes the throne and pulls back the Byzantine Empire from the brink of destruction.
