Bio: I love historical fiction. Because I have a deep passion for the American West and American Civil war periods, and want to tell a compelling story series, I wrote two novels based on the protagonist Myscal Taylor. He is an American West frontiersman living along the Wasatch Mountains of Utah Territory. While visiting family in Indiana in 1863, he is fraudulently conscripted into the Union Army as a private in the harsh 20th Indiana Regiment. He then descends into the bloodiest period of the Civil War, desiring nothing more to return to his wife and children along the wild edge of the Rockies and Great Basin. I am writing the third novel in the series. In the last 20 years, I have published in the medical education/behavioral sciences where I am employed. My ancestors came from the American South, Great Britain, and Scandinavia to settle in the Rocky Mountain West in the 1840s-70s. I grew up listening to colorful stories about my ancestors and their trials of frontier life.
