Bio: Don Gabor is the author of How to Start a Conversation and Make Friends (Simon & Schuster/Fireside 1983/2001/2011), plus nine other communication skills books published by Crown/Random House, McGraw Hill, and others. His titles have been translated into 15 languages and have sold 29 foreign rights. Vienna on Fire is Don’s first solo novel. As a frequent media guest, Don Gabor’s books have been featured in dozens of print, radio, and television interviews. The New Yorker called Don “a gifted conversationalist.” Since 1980, Don has presented hundreds of workshops to corporations, associations, small businesses, and libraries. He has coached individuals in public speaking and non-fiction book writing. Don was a member of the National Speakers Association for 20 years and was the 2010–2011 President of the New York City chapter.
