Bio: Author/lawyer/social entrepreneur/international development worker Dean Cycon has turned his energies towards the dusty corners of history that reveal much about the human condition. His first novel, Finding Home (Hungary, 1945) was the first novel to explore the return of Jewish concentration camp survivors to their homes in Eastern Europe. Finding Home won the Independent Press Award for Judaism, grand prize in the Coverfly Book to Screen competition and was nominated for the ALA Award for Jewish Literature. Dean's second novel, A Quest for God and Spices, a medieval romp based on the true search for Prester John, will be released in January, 2025 by Koehler Books. He was also the author of the award-winning non-fiction Javatrekker: Dispatches from the World of Fair Trade Coffee (Chelsea Green 2008).
