Bio: Debra Borchert is the author of the Château de Verzat Series that follows headstrong and independent women who protect a Loire Valley château and vineyard and its legacy of producing the finest wines in France during the French Revolution. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Writer. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her work has been honored with a Historical Novel Society Editors’ Choice, Publishers Weekly BookLife Editor’s Pick, Novel Semi-finalist, Faulkner - Wisdom Creative Writing Competition, 2023-2024, and many other five-star reviews.
