Bio: Charlotte Betts is a multi-award-winning author of romantic historical novels and draws inspiration from the stories of strong women at turning points in history. Her careful historical research enriches her writing with an evocative sense of time and place. She is currently working on the third novel in a series about British WWI widows in Italy. Charlotte's books include The Apothecary's Daughter, The Painter's Apprentice, The Spice Merchant's Wife, The Chateau on the Lake, The House in Quill Court, The Dressmaker's Secret, The Palace of Lost Dreams and The Light Within Us, The Fading of the Light and Letting in the Light . Charlotte lives in Windsor. A daydreamer and a bookworm, she has enjoyed careers in fashion, interior design and property. Also a member of The Romantic Novelists’ Association and The Society of Authors, Charlotte gives talks and workshops at conferences and to smaller groups.
