Bio: Katherine is Irish, living in Tuscany. As Katie Hutton, she has four novels set in 20c England with Bonnier Zaffre. Writing under her own name, The Maiden of Florence was published by Fairlight in 2024, and The Ballad of Mary Kearney is in press with Addison & Highsmith for January 2025. Katherine's short historical fiction has been published in Aspects of History, The Copperfield Review, Erotic Review Magazine, Turnpike, Asymmetry, My Weekly and Yours. Her first novel, entered as Merripen, made the last fifteen in the HNS New Novel competition in 2018. She was longlisted for the Historical Writers' Association Dorothy Dunnett prize in 2019. She has been awarded residencies by the Irish Writers Centre, the Danish Centre for Writers and Translators and the Latvian Writers House. Katherine holds degrees from UEA, Durham and Canterbury Christ Church. She is represented by Annette Green Authors' Agency.
