Bio: I am a new writer who has published her first novel at the age of 75. I came late to a passion for creative writing complements of covid lockdown in the UK. I enrolled on a master's in creative writing from Hull University ( online) and graduated 'with merit' in Jan 2023. I did not expect to get through the first module, being a scientist by past education and experience, but to my surprise I did. I continued through a short battle with a tumour on my scalp ,surgically removed at the beginning of my second year. My dissertation grew out of genealogy research into two great-grandparents and from that grew my novel, entitled The Peacock's Legacy I have written a plethora of short stories; several have featured on Reedsy's Discovery channel. I won my writer's circle summer competition with a short story entitled The Boy from Barbados I I am married to Michael who is a gem for looking after me while I write. I am the proud mother two daughters aged and four grandsons.
