Alice Mitchell
Bio: Alice Mitchell won a Betty Trask award in 1985 with her first novel Instead of Eden which was published traditionally in 1986 by WH Allen. It was a family type saga set in the early to middle 20th century in England. She has also published a mediaeval historical novel entitled THE MORTIMER AFFAIR - Joan de Joinville’s Story, with the indie press You Caxton Publications and it is available on Amazon. It is a tale of the political intrigue in the reign and abdication of Edward II but seen through the eyes of the wife of Roger Mortimer. Her latest novel THE GOLDEN DOOR is the story of several emigrants to America in 1850 and is published by Arcanum Press Ltd and due for release on 1st October 2024. Alice lives in Bronte Country in West Yorkshire UK.
