Magic in His Kiss

This is the final in a romance trilogy featuring the de Leon sisters, 12th-century descendants of King Arthur, and all possessing supernatural gifts. Nicole, the youngest of the sisters, is the king’s ward, secluded in an English nunnery. As the political scene shifts, she becomes a valuable pawn to both England and Wales. Her uncle, a Welsh chieftain, sends his warrior bard Rhodri ap Daffyd to persuade her to defy the king and return to Wales with him. Can they forgo duty and their hearts’ desires to bridge the social chasm between them? Can Rhodri help Nicole bear the burden of her psychic gift? Well, this is a romance…

I have not read either of the other novels, but this seemed designed to stand alone. It is pretty light on everything except passion; if you are looking for a few hours of pure escapism, then this should fit the bill.
