Hello. I’m Wes, born and raised in Kansas, now living in Wichita. I was born in 1955, so I heard a lot of stories of the Great Depression and my mom was into genealogy. It stuck.
I went to Emporia Ks. State University and majored in Rehab Counseling and minored in History. My day job is helping my wife run a food and snack shop in the Sedgwick County Courthouse. We get everyone from judges to people just getting out of jail.
Still working on my first novel “Dust and Roses” set in rural Kansas in the 1930s. Yes, there’s a dust storm in it. Honestly, I looking for a critique reader to go over the book and give me feedback. Family is little help.
To keep myself in this world I walk and use the elliptical. I’ve joined Kansas Writers Association and enjoy hanging out with other writers.
Anxious to get started on my next novel someday; it is either a WWII murder mystery set in Wichita concerning secrets and the aircraft industry, or German WWII POWs in Kansas.
