Bio: Waverly Fitzgerald is a writer and reader, teacher and student, publisher and author. Her historical romances, St. John's Wood, Mayfair and Chelsea, were published by Doubleday in the early 1980's. Jove published her historical fiction, Grover Square, in 1982. After several years researching 12th century Wales for a novel she never wrote, she switched to non-fiction, focusing on seasonal holidays, urban nature and family history. She returned to novel writing around 2000 with a series of mysteries. Writing with her friend, Curt Colbert, as Waverly Curtis, she wrote five humorous contemporary mysteries that feature a talking Chihuahua. The first in the series, published by Kensington, is called Dial C for Chihuahua. She just finished a novel featuring a trance medium in Victorian London and is currently revising a novel focusing on a herbalist during the English Civil War (based on characters borrowed from one of her favorite authors, Elizabeth Goudge).
