Reading historical non-fiction gives me ideas for my novels.
I asked myself what would happen to children whose fathers refused to sign oath of allegiance to Queen Anne Stuart during James II’s lifetime.
With plots and themes in mind, I name the main characters, and complete their profiles before begin to write the story.
My readers can identify with themes such as post-traumatic stress syndrome (diagnosed recently), a heroine searching for her birth parents and fraud.
The protagonists are not modern people dressed in costume or stereotypes.
My books are sensual but contain no explicit sex.
I write Romantic Historical Fact Fiction published by BooksWeLove Inc. My novels are set in the Regency era, the reigns of Edward II and Queen Anne Stuart.
