Patricia O’Reilly lives in Dublin. Writing is in her blood. When she was a child she dreamed of having a book for sale in a bookshop with her name on its cover. And like the best of dreams, it came to pass – 12 times.
She divides her time between researching and writing historical novels and convening creative writing in UCD and at literary festivals.
She has written 5 historical novels: Once Upon a Summer, Time and Destiny, A Type of Beauty, the story of Kathleen Newton, and her latest The Interview.
The Interview is the story of what happened between Irish designer Eileen Gray and rising star of Fleet Street Bruce Chatwin when he interviewed her for the Sunday Times magazine. The Interview is described as ‘Literary ventriloquism’ by Dermot Bolger.
She also writes a blog for writers – lovewriting.patriciaoreilly.net.
