About me

After a successful and rewarding career in social marketing, I have just completed my first work of historical fiction. “Primitive Passions” is the first of a projected four volumes — “The Boschloper Saga” — about the adventures of Dutch fur traders on the frontier of 17th-century colonial New York. Published by Bygone Era Books, “Primitive Passions” will be released on March 23, 2015. The second volume, “Savage Wilderness”, is now in progress. It will be followed by “Spurious Rebellion” and “Beyond the Frontier”. Together, they will celebrate the men and women who first opened the way to America’s interior. Retired and living in Vienna, Austria, I now have the opportunity to focus my efforts on writing about this exciting but largely ignored period of American history. A life-long colonial history buff, I spent most of my life in western Massachusetts and New York’s Mohawk Valley. My work is influenced by James Fenimore Cooper, Kenneth Roberts and Walter D. Edmonds.
