Essie Fox writes Victorian gothic novels. The Somnambulist was featured on Channel 4’s TV Book Club, and was shortlisted for the National Book Awards 2012. Her second novel was Elijah’s Mermaid. Her third, The Goddess and the Thief is published in December 2013.
