The Hornet’s Nest: A Novel of the Revolutionary War

By

President Carter is the author of the first novel ever written by someone who sat in the Oval Office. Set in the deep South that Carter knows so well, the story follows Ethan and Epsey Pratt as they struggle to make a living as farmers in a Georgia which will soon fall prey to bloody fighting between rebels and loyalists, redcoats and militia. Although the pace seems a bit slow at times, the characters and the events in which they are unwittingly enmeshed still capture and hold the reader’s attention.
