William Martin

About me

William Martin is the New York Times Bestselling Author of ten novels, book reviews, an award-winning American Experience documentary on the life of Washington, and a cult-classic horror movie, too. His novels, including “Back Bay,” “Cape Cod,” “Citizen Washington,” “City of Dreams,” and “The Lincoln Letter,” have celebrated the great and the anonymous in American history while sweeping readers from the deck of the Mayflower in 1620 to the Twin Towers on 9/11. He was the 2005 recipient of the New England Book Award, given “to an author whose body of work stands as a significant contribution to the culture of the region.” Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin calls herself “a huge William Martin fan.” And Publisher’s Weekly calls Martin a storyteller “whose smoothness matches his ambition.” He lives near Boston with his wife and has three grown children.
