Wendy Dunn

About me

Commended and short-listed in various National fiction awards during her writing life, Wendy has been obsessed with Tudor History from childhood. Her novel about Anne Boleyn, the award-winning novel Dear Heart, How Like You This? (published by Metropolis Ink in 2002), has been described as “Seriously one of the best books ever written about Anne Boleyn’. Her first play, Before Dawn Breaks, a 2009 finalist in the Eltham Little Theatre’s Ten Minute Quickie Play Competition, continued Anne’s story, imagining the night before her execution. Another play, The Problem of Philosophy, was shortlisted for the 2014 Sydney Short and Sweet festival.

After successfully completing her MA (Writing) at Swinburne University Wendy became a sessional tutor for the same course and was accepted as a PhD candidate. Her PhD artefact is a Young Adult Tudor novel, to be published by Metropolis Ink in 2014.
