Margaret Porter is the award-winning author of 11 period novels, nonfiction, and poetry. Her work has been published in hardcover and paperback, in English and many foreign language editions.
She studied British history in the U.K. and returned to the U.S. to complete her theatre training, subsequently working in film and television. After earning her M.A. in Radio-Television-Film, she was a writer and producer for film and video projects.
As well as fiction, Margaret writes articles on British history and travel, and presents workshops on historical research and writing techniques at national and regional writers’ conferences.
Margaret spends spend some of the year in Great Britain and most of it New England with her husband and two dogs.
