Derek Birks
About me
Derek was born in Hampshire in England and spent his teenage years in Auckland, New Zealand where he still has strong family ties.
For many years he taught history in a secondary school but took early retirement several years ago to concentrate on his writing. His passion is for the medieval period. Feud, his first historical novel, is set in fifteenth century England during the Wars of the Roses. A sequel is already well under way.
