Charles Fergus
About me
Charles Fergus published the novel Shadowcatcher (Soho) in 1991, based on the real-life 1913 Rodman Wanamaker Expedition of Citizenship to the North American Indian. He has also published 16 nonfiction books, most of them about nature.
He recently finished a suspense novel set in backcountry Pennsylvania in 1835: A Stranger Here Below is the first in a planned series whose main character is a young man of Pennsylvania Dutch extraction who is neither trusted nor liked by the Scotch-Irish denizens of the county where he has stumbled into the job of sheriff.
A fulltime freelance writer since 1984, Charles is currently looking for an agent to represent A Stranger Here Below.
