Bronwen Jones
About me
Bronwen will complete her historical novel, Home to the Lake (nominal title), during 2012. This is her first novel.
The story is set on a remote lake in southern New Zealand between 1895 and 1969. It traces the life, loves and losses of an elderly woman who is seeking to find inner peace after a tumultuous life. As she begins her journey, she finds herself in the path of a devastating cyclone (the real Cyclone Giselle, or Wahine Storm of 1968). Will she survive the destruction? Will she gain the freedom her soul craves?
Ageing, the environment and Colonial land issues are key topics.
Bronwen lives in Diamond Harbour, New Zealand. She has worked in the corporate world for many years and is a former journalist. And yes, with a name like Bronwen Jones, she can claim to be part Welsh. Her dearest father was from North Wales.
Bronwen doesn’t yet have a website dedicated to her fiction writing but has a business site. She is pleased to hear from any HNS members.
