Adelaida Lucena-Lower
About me
Adelaida Lucena de Lower was born in the city of Ibn-Battuta, Tangier, Morocco, of Spanish parents. Growing up, her family spoke in Castilian and French, and when they did not want her to know what they were saying, in Arabic. She decided to learn languages and eventually became an ESL teacher, traveling with her husband to faraway places. She has published short stories and articles, was a finalist in the Glimmer Train short story contest, reviews for the Historical Novel Society, and now lives in Manassas, Virginia, polishing a novel about 15th century Spain.
